You could build a custom turbo kit MAYBE for under 2k, that's getting most of your stuff off of e-bay though...

You can get a decent turbo system set up for under 2K. The thisng is that you gotta do a lot of the work yourself. The hardest part is finding some of the parts. If you need some help, pm me.

First of all you should read west_minist's article/thread on Turbocharging. There's a lot to read but it should answer all questions:
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=662

After that, if you're looking for a complete kit check out the following sites:
- http://www.slowboyracing.com/Turbo%20kits/...ota/Toyota.html

You can start at JGS Tools. They sell a turbo header for 249.99. After that you need a turbo, FCD, SAFC(To correct the A/F ratio), and some other various parts.

turboing the 7a takes a lot of work. it probably falls a few hours short of putting the 3s into the car. last time i totalled my costs up it was just shy of 3k. i know im over that now. i didnt do any short cuts either so thats why its up there. if i was to part my kit together again i know where i could and couldnt cut costs. take a look at my profile to get an idea on parts you will need. if u have any specific questions feel free to IM or email me. i dont have a "list of what u need" but i can get you started and let you know what to expect.

ok you definitely don't need an FCD.

I have found the turbo kit now, but it`s based on the Corolla 7A-FE. But the engine is still the same as in the Celica.
The kit was`nt on low price....no! Unf...believebel expencive to ship it over to norway, betwean 500 to 1000 $,
I think I just go for better air intake and exost + + first............

You could always put together a turbo kit using parts from another car. I recentley bought an entire turbo setup off of a 92 eclipse. With a little modification this will hook up beautifully to my 7A-FE biggrin.gif
