Yeah, it should. It's the same engine. I know they sell aluminum, mandrel bent short rams on ebay for pretty cheap. You can also get stainless steel heat shields on there. I've thought about getting one, but I'm saving for a turbo.

Do you mean the heat shields like the ones on the injen intakes or the heat reflective tape?

Also, on the links page, you can goto a site about Evilspeed racing ( I think thats what its called) but they make a cold air intake for the st. i also believe in the how to section there is something about a civic intake on a st. and of course you can make one yourself. I know this doesnt answer your question at all but its just a few more options

The heat shields are like the Injen ones. They're polished and they surround like 3/4's of a cone filter. They usually have Buy It Now for like $10. |

don't buy a short-ram. honestly its a waste of money. you'll get some hp before the engine warms up but after a couple mins its just massive heat soak. I would say either a) save for a DR CAI or b) build your own [its rediculously easy] or c) drill some holes in the bottom of the "snorkel" attached to your stock intake box, slap in a K&N and call it a day

What Pete said is correct. I've seen dyno results of a Celica GT with a drop in K&N filter and the same car with a short ram intake, and it produced more power with just the filter.
As soon as I get my new engine in, one of the first things I'm going to do is fabricate a cold air intake for it. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
