Hey guys this is my first post, I am from the MR2OC forums, but cant seem to find what i need there so I have come to you in hopes to find my diagrams.
My boyfriend RJBIBEAU is also a member of 6GC, you may know him. Anyways I am in need of the JDM 3sgte vacuum diagrams, i cant seem to find them on the BGB and the ones i have found on MR2OC only happen to be the USDM ones and those are of no use to me. Can one of you please help me out? Thank you so much Ashley This post has been edited by mr2nerkitty: Aug 30, 2007 - 3:47 PM |

there really aren't any good vac diagrams for the 3s around, for some reason. if you post pictures of what you are not sure about, most of us hear could just tell you what to do.

I could post pics but i think it would only draw more confusion on what it is I need. The motor is in the car and all the hoses have been redone in stainless steel so the routing in the pictures would just make people go cross-eyed.
This was the mistake we made when we pulled the motor, we labeled everything but the vacuum hoses. BAD THING! I guess ill just have to keep searching....maybe call japan lol! Thanks This post has been edited by mr2nerkitty: Aug 30, 2007 - 3:46 PM |

Ok i found some pictures on google and then looked at my motor...it seems i have all the hoses going to the correct places so i dont think i have a problem there. But i do have a question on this one though....
on my motor its the twho hoses coming off the intake manifold dont go anywhere they just make a loop back onto eachother.....where are they supposed to go? Also i guess you guys should know the reason behind me needing the vacuum diagrams maybe you could just help me with the problem instead of beating around the bush tryin to find the damn diagrams, just incase i dont need them. I got the car from a guy in florida who did a really bad job on the swap because he was uneducated. I bought the car as a project. The car ran but was not in driving condition because it had some bugs to be wokred out. First off the TPS didnt work so i had to replace that and also the wiring was a huge mess so we took the motor out and redid the wiring and the headgasket and a few other things....but to make a long story short we put the motor back in and it starts but the car wont idle it will just rev up and down up and down again and again from 1500to 2500 rpm, and it wont stop. This is why i am on the search for vacuum diagrams because i was told it was probably a vacuum leak. But also the car has no throttle response....and what i mean by this is when i push the pedal nothing happens...and then when i turn the lever by hand it has no change just continues to rev up and down on its own....did i install the TPS wrong or is it a bad one how do you test the tps? Or could it be somthing different? PLEASE HELP me i just want to get my car on the road i have only been behind the wheel 3 times...twince in florida and once here towing it back from Toyota. |

those 2 hoses shouldnt be your issue. They are just for the charcoal canister.
what I would do is this: -Get the car to run as close to idle as possible. spray carb cleaner anywhere it may have a vacuum leak. dont forget around the tvis on the intake manifold. if the idle consistantly changes when you spray you found your leak. -If that doesnt work. You could make sure the tps is adjusted correctly. sorry I dont have the diag. info at my house. This post has been edited by toyotacrazy: Sep 2, 2007 - 1:19 AM |

Ok the problem is fixed.
No vac leak no wiring problem It turns out that we had put the TPS on wrong. We took it off and put it back and now the car idles perrrrfectly well almost we need to adjust the timing a little bit but other than that shes healthy at idle. I have not had a chance to hit the street yet because i am waiting on a power bleeder for my clutch. The only problem i am having now is with my fan(s) still i think its both the radiator fan and the condensor fan that kick on when the key is in the on position and the car isnt even running yet. I hear this is a common problem with swaps....I will do a search on it to see if i can find somthing. Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who listend and attmpted to help me. Ill keep you posted on what comes up! Thanks again <3 Ashley |

your fans are coming on because your car used to be an ST, and doesn't have the temp probe that the GT and alltrac radiators have. if the ecu sees that the sensor is missing, it will just keep the fans on at all times.
make sure you set the TPS by the specs in the BGB. you need feeler gauges to set its position correctly. This post has been edited by lagos: Sep 4, 2007 - 11:19 AM -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

We hooked up a temp sensor and the fans still did the same thing.
The temp sensor was off of my boyfriends GT celica....we pluged it in and turned the car on and the fans still kicked on. So what else could it be? |
