so my car was strapped on the dyno and the tuner was adding fuel to my #2 cylinder and it wasn't responding. so as the car was runnign we took the spark plug wire off and noticed the engine idle didn't change...after pulling the plug out and seeing it was fine and was getting spark and was wet for the injector; we did a comression check on it and....yep nothing. did a leak down test at 100 psi and it was hissing throgh the oil cap. so i figure it as either bad rings, or a cracked ringland beacuase there is oil smoke when the engine is under load coming out of the breather tube on the valve cover. I was talking to some of my buddis and was told it could be a burnt valve, but i can't see that being the case becuase wouldn't the smoke exit out of the exhaust manifold? i'm gonna be pulling the head off prob sat or sun and i hope not to see any more damage than i am expecting.

It sounds like you may have a blown head gasket. It may be blown between the oil return and the #2 cylinder. This post has been edited by toyotacrazy: Aug 29, 2007 - 5:20 PM |

You may as well put rings in it. If your going that far why not put better rods in it....and so on .....haha its so addicting |
