That really didn't help me at all. Im not looking to reduce road noice, i want my trunk floor to stop vibrating cause it sounds like ass outside my car. if its vibrating, you need a sound dampener like dynamat. -------------------- |

For deadening the road noise, i used lining from home depot or lowes. I used the lining the use for deadening a home water heater or wall insulation. INstead of using the fiberglass one, i ended up using the cotton one and cutting them for fitment under the overhead setup and inside the doors where the speakers are. It helped lessen the road noise. It is a cheaper way of doing it and it sure helps with keeping the temp inside warm in the winter and keeping heat out with a/c on during the summer. Its been working for me. Going on 3 years strong.

A sound deadening material like dynamat, edead, fatmat (and others) will help stop the panels vibrating...if you want to then add a layer of foam or carpet this will stop the higher frequency noises like wind noise.
Combining the two will create the best way method. One thing I have noticed is once you do this, it then amplifies any squeaks or rattles you have under the dash!!! |
