from what i have noticed in both of my 6gcs is that they work just not very well. if it's just fogged up in the back the work decently. if it's iced over it will take a ling time.
i used to live in michigan and i'm guessing it's the latter of the two. first time i have ever had the windshield ice over on the inside of the car. it was quite a common thing to happen in the winter,
other than that sounds like you have a short or cut wire somewheres
gl on getting it fixed. sadly there is no way to tell if it's fixed til winter when no one in there right mind wants to sit out in the cold working on their car.

check that out... if you live in crappy cold weather, you can always double up the rear defroster, or add lines on others... like bottom of windshield... side mirrors... or other problematic areas that seem to fog up at the drop of a hat in these beautiful cars =)

My defogger isn't working, too. I think I have problem with the relay, because I've checked wires, fuses and they are OK. Anyone knows where can I find the defogger relay?
