I know alot of people have been looking at Ebay and see those brand new T3s going for $150 BuyNow or Less. You know you have wanted to buy it or have bought it. Then realize 2 months later it blows on you or possibly sooner or even later. From my understanding its about a 75% fail rate on these turbos. Its not the housings that fail but your fins seem to shear off and are thrown through your intercooler.

Well I have your fix. Buy one of those turbos then immediately send it to Blaast Performance. They will take your turbo apart, trash all the inners and rebuild them with Garrett Parts. Its $250 plus shipping but for $350 you now have a new Garrett turbo (basically). They also give you a warranty and 2 day turn around time on the change over.

I have not done this personally. However, alot of the guys on Honda forums have done this and recommend it.

I've personally seen an imitation GT28RS go kablooie, it was the cheap compressor fins they use. Total trash.

Thats actually a really good idea though, this way its like buying a really clean core and doing a rebuild.

Thats exactly what you are doing. The housings are fine on the imitation, just the core is complete ****. So you send it to Blaast and they rebuild it with Garrett cores. No more ****ty turbo.

wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run to just buy a T3/T4 from blast themselves? cause you have to figure the ebays cost 150-175+shipping then 250+50 for the rebuild your at about 500 and these guys sell them for 475 i think i am just gonna look into that when i turbo my car. if i don't have the money for the gen III in time

Man these guys are greaaaaaaat i love dealing with this company, they're in canada but its worth it i mean the borgwarner turbo is the best turbo for a street car imo (t3/t4 that is) and their turn around time is for real!

eh, I don't think I would want to buy a "new" turbo on e-bay.

Just had too much crap happen when I deal with e-bay so I just go straight to the manufacturer. I like warrentys!

1. not to hate on Blaast Performance but for the price of buying the turbo $150 and sending it to them $350 =$500 cant you buy a Garrett turbo for that price ???

2. the 3sgte guys they can send a stock ct-26 out to mike-turbo miami FL & he will make it a 60-1 wit all Garrett parts for call for pricing 305-885-9082...
