a friend gave me a visor one, but it seems to be to wide. would restrict visor movement. 120mm discs might be too big to reasonably fit up there.

I have a visor one, but its too big so I just have it under the drivers seat. Fits fine there and its kind of hidden if anyone looks in the car

I used to have a visor cd holder, but everytime i took a hard left turn, cds would attack anyone in the passenger seat. the ipod fixed that problem.

Coomer ran a 3.5mm audio cable from the back of the CD player to the arm rest, so I plug the connector into the headphone jack on my iPod and hit play

Well i'm not quite sure what 3.5mm cables are but i had this kinda cable that had a red/black forked end and a single end. The red/black ends went into my room system and i plugged the single end into the audio out on my laptop. When I went to my car, the red/black ends plugged into these ports called Rear Audio Out.
I can't figure out how to play my ipod from that. is it even possible? maybe i just need a new deck -------------------- |

ADSFA?12?ASDaS?!/sadf!!!!!!!! i guess i need a new deck.. whatever that can wait what kinda deck do you have? you have to buy a special type of cord to plug into the back. pioneer for example you need to buy this go into your settings on your deck and enable aux, plug your cable that you spoke of earlier into that, plug ipod into system with same cable, change audio source to aux, push play on ipod/laptop/portable DVD/ whatever else you want to use, enjoy post some pics of the back of your deck and we can tell you if you can do this or not. the only downside to this method is that if you forget to turn off your ipod you will drain your battery cuz it won't stop playin. I recently got out of the CD game myself, and there's no turning back. I just picked up a Creative Zen V Plus, 2GB that plays video, for $70 at Best Buy. It's an awesome player, and matched my color scheme very well. I ran an auxiliary plug from my Alpine to the center console underneath everything and drilled a hole in that small little section piece. Works out really well, I love it. CD's were such a hassle.
