I bought an intake from that eautosource guy on ebay a while back. I recieved it slowly, w/o communication, and bad packaging.

I left him a NEUTRAL feedback.

Anyways, 3 months later, I get an email from him.

Apparently, he left me a NEGATIVE feedback with this reasoning:

Feedback you left: (neutral) Good price/Semi-Fast Shipping/Bad Communication/Bad Packaging(loose item) **OK**
Feedback you received: (negative) please agree with the mutual feedback withdraw and remove your neutral feedback

Message from seller: I apoligize for giving you a negative but with ebays new policy your neutral counts as a negative for me so if you could please agree with this it would be great and help both of us thank you

---------

If this were you guys, would you withdraw your feedback?

I feel that this isnt right! He deserves a negative feedback for blackmailing me like this and using my feedback against me. I left him what he deserved. I paid quickly, communicated like I should have and he did not fufill his end.

Tell me I have some protection against jerks like this on ebay!

Nope. eBay feedback system and eBay and Paypal protection systems are absolute rubbish - no protection at all. I saw one guy selling 100s of illegally copied CDs per month and then defaulting on a very high value item every couple of months or so. Feedback average was always >99% even though he was clearly ripping people off on the high-value items.

man, neutral does NOT count as a negative, it is what it is, a neutral. they don't get credit for that sale is all. i was in a similar situation, i sent my PS2 to this guy after claiming he could fix it through an ebay sale, and i got it back, to say the least it wasn't fixed. all i did was just ask for 20 dollars back to cover shipping. he didn't refund me and gave me NEGATIVE feedback saying it was my fault? lol people are shady.

don't retract your statement dude, you didn't do anything wrong, he was an ok seller, not outstanding, not bad. just leave it at that

YES and then put in the reason that he was trying to blackmail you to give positive feedback.

then withdraw your feedback and stop whining about it. ebay is not going to hear your rant so i would just get over it. no one has your back and regardless of how nice you are, people will still screw you over. welcome to life...

Regrettably ebay doesn't let you do that. Once you leave feedback you can only mutually withdraw it (meaning both sides have to agree then both feedbacks are withdrawn) or leave it. You can't edit it or change between positive, negative and neutral.

LOL that's freakin hilarious.
yeah i had that happen to me once. this douche sold me a psp game that he said "in like new condition with all manuals" needless to say it was far from like new and didn't include any manuals. so i left him neutral after giving him a few weeks to at least get me the manuals for the game. no response so i left him a neutral cuz he did at least have really fast shipping.
next thing i know i have a negative saying "i give negs for neutral. what do you think of that?" i chewed him out saying i shoulda went to paypal and made them refund me. we had the feedback withdrawn. i checked his feedback left and he only left negative for people. what a dick!
sorry to hear about the situation but sadly it happens. i wish there was a way to send complaints to ebay about sellers being A$$es and getting away with it.
just have the comment withdrawn. if people have any Qs they can check the comment you left him and see the truth.

Who's to say if you remove your feedback that he would remove his?

Besides, you are worried about what future buyers would think about the feedback, well, they can read it and see you left a neutral and he threw a fit about it.

(This is why I'm not a huge e-bay fan, never had many good experiences with it.)

i went through his feedback and apparently all the people who leave a neutral or negative to him get a Negative in return..

feedback should be left by the seller AFTER the payment. Not AFTER the buyer leaves feedback. Thats all this guy does is see what people say first then give them a neg for not writing what he wants.

and ebay is useless. apparently there is nothing they can do about this. which is bull**** lol

Guys If your PO at your buyer/seller Make A guide and in that FEEDBACK refer to that GUIDE on ebay. This is great cuz u can BS them all u want in the guide and rant all u want then other people can see it too plus the B/S.

Leave it as is and post a response to his negative feedback in your profile. No one is going to hold a negative against you when you were the buyer anyway. I would report it to ebay with his message because eventually this kind of thing has to catch up with people. When in doubt, be guided by doing the right thing.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
