5S-GTE? Do you mean the 5S-FE(possibly with a turbo kit)? The 5S-FE would not fit perfectly, because it's an s-series engine and therefore uses different engine mounts, a different transmission, and possibly different axles. If you have an ST and you're considering a swap, you'd be much better to go with a 20 valve 4A-GE or a 4A-GZE, which both drop right in and can use your stock axles and transmission.

The 20 valve 4A-GE can be found in the JDM AE101 and AE111 Toyota Corolla. The 4A-GZE can be found stateside in some older MR2s, and I'm not sure what other vehicles it's in.

THe Levin, Sprinter Trueno, Sprinter, FX and the Sprinter Ciero where all JDM versions of the Corolla.

There is also an engine for one of the Levins... not sure what the engine code is or the years produced that was a N/A version of the 4age that was BAD ASS.. it was 4 inline four cylinder that had 8.. yeah thats right 8 spark plugs... kinda weird but worked really well... will try and find more info about it.

I went and looked at some of those engines. At the web page I looked at, the supercharged engine was the least powerful. Is that correct?

no. only japan. some ppl have imported them like me. i just want the tranny thou. so if anyone wants a 20valve motor i will sell you mine. the stock ST tranny will fit the motor.
