194. there will be some lenses above the plate..they may or may not be screwed on..i think they are...anyhow, i don't have mine anymore...but you take those lenses off, then look up in there, and you will see the bulb. you just pull it down and to the outside of the car..and it pops right out. and you may or may not decide to put the lenses back on..i didn't, so it's just a matter of reachin up there and pullin it out for me. smile.gif.

it's actually a 168 bulb but the 194 fits and works fine. Like John said there are 2 screws/bolts holding the lense covers on. Mine were so rusted I stripped them out and had to remove the plate holder to cange my bulbs kindasad.gif

Outside. If you just crouch down and look up underneath you can easily see them. But if they were anything like mine, the screws are really rusted so you may need to spray em with something to loosend them up a little. Not much force is needed to remove them anyway.

I did it because I had some left over red 194's. After about a week it looks pink and I can't find my stock bulbs. Don't do it. Legal? IDK. Seems like they can give you a ticket for anything nowadays

My friend has red bulbs for his plate on his Civic. I'n not sure if it is legal, because I was always told that Red and Blue are strictly for emergency vehicles only.
