this is a pretty pointless thread.

there is no 100% way to tell how much hp you will gain from one single upgrade.

You can install the same header on two different motors and they will give different hp increases because of engine heath and climate.

Especially if the two different engines have other supporting modifications. I can rant on and on about different upgrades and what not, but the main issue is there is NO certain hp increase.

Is there a noticeable HP increase? maybe? "noticeable" is varys from person to person.

Some people swear they feel the difference by installed a short ram intake, others complain about the noise.

Should you get the headers?

I say yes, you will not gain major ass kicking hp and become a driving god. But it will definitly get some engine bling and a better exhaust note, and if your lucky maybe 1-5 hp...

No, I think this is a reasonable response. I do agree that all these bolt ons add up HP very slowly, and that engine "health" has to be taken into consideration, and the mix of upgrades you add should be planned in a way that maximizes HP. My goal is to install the webcams like Dustin did, but I think adding headers would be a good idea to better handle the more intake I will be putting through the engine. Right now, my only mods are a K&N Filter drop in and a 2.25" catback exhaust.

OK...I heard the ebay headers were so-so (please don't take any offense at that), that's why I didn't buy them. Any oppinions on that? Also, "other than" ebay headers, what other header can I get??

I have it on my mr2 and all it does is make it sound loud, it probably add like 1hp. Performance wise I don't think it's worth it. I rather just leave it stock.

This is about right thinking. Add the cams, SRI and Header with full exhaust and high flow cat and you may pull a few horses out but the best part is you will change your powerband and lessen some of those nasty 5S holes. Expect your car to be much louder and more responsive up top.
That's about it - but totally worth it IMO.
