If you have an aftermarket alarms, maybe someone messed with your alarm settings. I know my keyless entry has an option to do this and it was on for a while by default, but I turned it off.

Mine didn't have keyless entry or even power door locks either. I added keyless entry for about $60 shipped for everything, and it took me a few hours to install it, but I'm very happy with it now. smile.gif

I bought the two actuators off of eBay for about $5 each, and I bought a Crimestopper CS-845RKE keyless entry system from eBay as well for about $35. Mounting the door actuators is kind of hard, because you have to drill a couple holes in the metal of your door panel, but once you're done with that it's all wiring. Since I never had installed alarms or anything like that before, it took me probably five hours just to figure out the wiring and get everything setup. But if you know wiring well, then I'd imagine that it wouldn't take near as long. It's definitely worth it once you're done though. Hope this helps. smile.gif

I want one that is:
1. Keyless

5. cuts headlights off
6. Rolls up windows
7. ETC.....

Whats that going to cost me?

mine does that too, i like it i guess it's sort of a safety feature, i also have a remote starter which is pretty tight, but my alarm is factory, and it comes with the lights turn on, the doors automatically lock and unlock and keyless entry. i would like the windows to roll up and down feature but that's later down the road. i'm pretty sure the automatic trunk release can't be done on our cars cause we have the pull trunk release, the only way it would work is if you have a button release like on a mustang or sumthin. biggrin.gif

Never though about that one but, I guess thats true you prob cant do the trunk. I def want keyless but I could get a cheap one but I want one that does the window roll up and all. Woudl you recommend letting someone install it? I think I could but I am really impatient sometimes and I dont want to screw anything up. A guy the other day was telling me about soem guy coming in and he had straight wired soem stuff and it blew everythign electrical out in the car and he had to have the whole car redone. THATS SCAREY LOL!

my parents used to have a 1998 Accord and it had a remote to pop the trunk. and they had a pull lever just like us to pop the trunk, i don't see why it wouldn't work. confused.gif

I went to Best Buy to get my keyless a while back. Anyway I got one with a trunk release button. Basically, you have to run a relay to the trunk like you door for other doors for a power button system, costs 40 bucks there but you could probably find one cheaper online if you know how to install it. Then it's just a matter of setting it up with your remote.

Also, does anyone have remote starter, and is it really worth getting?

Actually, my cheap keyless entry will do a lot of stuff. It has the option for a trunk pop, plus two other relays which you could use to control the windows or cutting headlights off, or starting the car, or whatever. It does have a brain, and came with two remotes as well(Which still work pretty good with stock batteries. I can unlock my car through my cement-walled garage from 200 feet away.). It would probably be a lot easier to just pay a little more money and buy an alarm that has that stuff, because to add some things you'd have to use a few relays. I never wired up the trunk pop, because my trunk lid is now too heavy with a spoiler and sound deadener to open with that lever.

By the way, it's just keyless entry and not an alarm. It does have a panic button though. wink.gif Hope this helps. smile.gif

Almost Forgot, a great link to some very helpful stereo and alarm and car electronics stuff is http://www.the12volt.com
