Tint Tails/Headlights Options

Anyone know how to tint the tail or headlights? I've seen it done and they look nasty.

VHT makes this spray paint stuff called Nightshades, its about $15 a can, u just spray it on, but that would only work for the tails, headlights, GTO makes blacked out headlight covers, or did.

Easy as bro. Buy some "Tint Spray" and you pretty much just use it like you were spray painting something. Done it too my Celica, just masked all round the light and sprayed from top to bottom of the light overlapping each line. Let it dry, then take of the masking. Looks mean! Only problem I had was that I bought a light tone so wasn't as dark as I wanted. I got pics but don't know how to upload onto these hahaha.

Oh and you wouldn't want to tint spray the headlights since it'll make your lights a lot dimmer and you wouldn't be able to see **** at night lol. And you wouldn't get a Warrant.

u can, but if you use the VHT stuff on ur headlights, it runs. It grabs pretty well on plastic, but it runs like mad on glass.

yeah i've done it with the vht stuff. I've never liked the stock tails but i think it looks alot nicer with the tint.

I tinted my tail lights with night shade.... I hit the tail lights about 6 times and they came out completely black but you can still see the light when you hit the brake or use your turning signal....

my friend tinted mine by using black spray paint and paint thinner..

now we just brushed it on.. adding coats until it was the darkness I wanted..

but now he uses the model spray kit (walmart) and it make a much more even tint.

I like the tinted look... only problem is that there is no way of removing it...

wrong my friend....hit the tails with some 1200 sand paper or some 1000...it's rough enough to take the tint off and also the clear coat of the tails...when you dry it off its going to look extreamily dull...thats when you go to pep boys and buy yourself a spray can of clear coat and repray your tails...they will come out looking better then new...i have done this several times....also even if you dont tint your tail lights and they look kinda old and worn...wet sand them with some 1000 grit sand paper an then spray some clear coat on them...they will look brand new ...if i get a chance i'll post up some pics of my camaro tails..i did the same thing with them...i didnt tint them but i gave them a fresh clear coat

Damn I want this done to my black car! In addition to the tails, I'd like to do the side orange signals also. Maby to the spring

Look mean as fully blacked out bro. My mate done the same too his Prelude but too bad for him he wiped it out couple weeks later!
