ok i just put a new motor in my car and started driving it when i noticed that the gears were extremely loose.....all of them wrk and go into gear fine but they have a lot of slop in them.... like say im in first i can move the shifter back and forth all the way into 5th but it will still be in 1st. ne ideas why they arent tight nemore?

huh we kind of just had that same problem on my friends 5th gen what happend was we went to change the gear oil in the transaxle and when we went to go fill it we just took something out from up top of the tranny and when we went to put it back in we just cranked it down and it wouldnt go out of gear and it is some kind of adjustment for the shifting whenever he has a minute i can take pics
