So I got some orange Cellophane, to change the ugly green light color for the climate/vent control, and gauge's/slash other lights. And I went to take that **** out, ****, I could not figure that **** out, I took out the screw's and pulled back the tabs, and that **** would not come out. I got a slight view from behind It, and I saw another screw, "Hmm" I thought, maybe thats whats keeping It In? Nope, took It out and It still wouldnt come out, Now Im pissed off and frustrated cause I cant get done what I wanted to get done today. Please help me If you know what Im talking about. Oh yeah, I even looked In my Chilton, and It didnt say how to take It out either.

Yeah thank's. Well I got It all apart, took the time to put a piece of orange Cellophane In each button. And I took the green gel's off all the little light's. I put It all together, turn the ignition, AND THE FUC@ING BUTTON LIGHTS ARE STILL GREEN! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FU#$!! I spent like four hour's trying to figure this S#^$ out and now the temp/low-high dial's dont light up, I screwed It all up, and I was hella excited about this too. I feel like s*@! now. So, Why are the button light's still green? Its the wire's right? Thats just the way their supposed to light up?

the lights in the CC unit (3 bulbs) have green covers (condoms) on them. If you pull the CC unit, and then pull out the 3 bulbs, remove condoms, then they won't be green anymore. The CC unit would then be an amber color.

What Is the 'CC Unit'...wait, climate control? I took off the green condom's. But the light's on the button's are still green, even though there's Orange cellophane In the front of the clear peice. I dont understand why. Just so everyone know's, I took the entire thing apart, and there Is no green condom's or any green cover's of anysort over the light's.

I am calm. But wouldnt you be a little upset If you went to change something In your 6gc, something that you've been waiting to do for a long time, and you get the chance, and just about everything goes wrong, then when you think you've accomplished your goal, and you get excited to see the change that you put time and effort Into, something you've been waiting to enjoy and show your friend's, then you connect everything, and set It up, turn the ignition, and nothing's changed, and In my case, It's worse? You know what Im saying?

for taking the old leds out. i used a friend. holding the circuit board in one hand, and the led with pliers in the other (and gently pulling). then i touched the iron to each led leg from the other side. and the solder melts and that leg pops out (be sure to note the leds polarity before you do this).

i have a 1mb cc unit howto with tons of pictures that i made a while ago. if you want i can send it to you (give me your email in a pm). when there is an option for adding a new howto here i'll try to port it over to this site.
