your subs look cool mounted there, but im sure they would sound better in a box. Do they rattle? other than that your **** is TIGHT!

I thought the subs would look good in the parcel shelf especially as they are red and match with the rest of the interior.
Also, they are relatively practical mounted there: 1 - it allows you to see my Amp setup; 2 - leaves the trunk free for bags. No they don't rattle because the cones are rubber mounted and they are heavy enough to keep the parcel shelf from vibrating. Only 3 real problems: 1 - they are heavy so the parcel shelf bows in the middle; 2 - because of there size I had to be careful that they didn't hit the rear strut bar when the trunk was closed; 3 - they are very overpowering compared to the rest of the system. I'm sure you're right, they would sound better in a box in the trunk. I'm thinking of may be inverting them in the parcel shelf so the cones point into the trunk. If that doesn't work, then I'll make a box to take my Amps and Woofers and mount it where the Amps are now. I'll then cut out the parcel shelf and install a perspex window and some lighting.
