Just out of curiosity, snapshot, how much do you estimate your car is gonna weigh with that v6 in there?

The V6 weighs about the same as a 5s actually... smile.gif

Reaaaally....

Very interesting.

There's your answer Panda. The 3S is similar in weight but all the Turbo components add a massive amount to that. Add in the fact that he has a very nice aftemarket exhaust system and I have the super heavy log style manifold [altho my downpipe is nice and light]. My car should weigh in about 100lbs more than his. Mine has moonroof too [IDK about his]

ya ppl imagine the v6 as a huge hunk of metal, but honestly, its not much bigger. engines are quite smll if you ever tear all the extra/useless crap off them

We have the same catback system. wink.gif
Btw, what's keeping you from upgrading to a turbo sized system?

Actually I meant the headers you had made but the SP2 is rather nice and for now, at USDM stock or lower boost, I believe I'm doing alright. Flow doesn't feel like an issue yet. You can be sure once my gremlins are worked out I'll be going with a nice straight [as possible] 3" exhaust under axle and cranking the boost up to stock JDM. I'm pretty cautious when it comes to modding - stock feels so much better than GT right now anyway I can afford to be. The boost devil will tempt me soon enough - for now I gotta do what's right for my brand new engine.
Nice headers BTW

I'll be there but prob not till late. the Houston crowd is supposed to caravan together via 290 [I hope - full garage with lift and compressor at the halfway point for any unexpected complications] so there should be several of us.
Speaking of which: Houston crew we need to start planning the Caravan.
Panda - when do you expect your crew will be on this side of town to meet up for that [or are you planning on coming up Sat? in which case I'll amend my plans to roll with ya'll - would need to be early AM tho so we can get to Austin before Noon-ish]?
Man - i have so much work to do on the car before then rolleyes.gif

Haven't fcuked with them since I switched out the black housings for the ones they came with. My god you should see the amount of sh*t that is containe within that little mirror housing laugh.gif - all laid out it doesn't look like there is any way it could all fit but it was pretty straight forward for someone who is determined not to repaint [or has custom paint like me].
Everythings ready and I have a 12v signal coming from the switch for the folding but no relay to do the work converting that signal to the 4 wires coming out of the mirror itself. I gotta find one. I'm gonna bring a full set of tools and spare couplers etc. with me to the meet. Maybe we'll play with them there for a bit [I'm not big on golf but I could play with cars all weekend - hell that's what I do every weekend biggrin.gif ].

We're plannin on going up there Friday. I was thinking around noon to 1, my normal operating hours. No real need to rush up there, it'll only take a few hours. But yeah, the houston crew could meet at the hooters we're going to this weekend, since it's open and should be easy to find.

Nope, not going to be able to make it. The ECU was just sent off to be re-programmed. Its close, but won't make it. We'll do this another time. You guys have a good time and take lots of pics. smile.gif
