What he said. Also, if you can record vids of the car boosting and sneezing, like this: http://media.putfile.com/Celica-Boosting-H...ega-Flow-Intake

Oh, and WOT videos, too..all this, of course, when you get your problems sorted out and you have the time. That would be great. I'm sure people here crave them, too.

We need to get a sticky going for turbo 5S and 7A Celica videos on the multimedia section. No chit-chat or anything, so we can keep it clean and easy to navigate. Just a post with a video URL link, and explanation, followed by the next post. It'll motivate other people to do the same and we can get good memories later on when we upgrade our cars. If no one else agrees, it's cool...I'll just jump off a bridge and end my existence. tongue.gif

oobe is that your car in the vid cause if so your bov isnt even workn i had the same problem what your hearing is straight compressor surge and compressor surge=bent shaft

That's an old video. It sounds different now. To clarify, lot of air came out of the BOV. It was checked. If it was bad surge, trust me it would've completely destroyed itself years ago. The turbo is still in good health, even with the punishment it has received from the ridiculously unrestricted high pressure of the engine. I purchased a restrictor two days ago, though, before I take it to the dyno. tongue.gif

with the key in the ON position, jump the TE1 and E1 terminals of your diagnostic box to check for CEL codes. it still sounds like map sensor to me, but that would throw a CEL

Easy, playboy. laugh.gif

It sounds to me like a MAP sensor issue. I once disconnected mine and the engine proceeded to bog down and die, like yours did. It also did that when my injectors were bad. Apparently, they got wet or something while they were out of the engine. When I put the back in, the engine started and died quickly, but it hessitated this time. It didn't die smoothly like when I disconnected the MAP sensor. Check for renegade vacuum lines in the engine bay.
