your on a FWD platform. u see what Presure2 and Defgeph put down (235 to 250whp) and they run into traction issues. (which have yet to be resolved) The only answer anyone has been able to find for it, is to throw money at it, till u get it right. (fat rubber, bigger and better and ultimatly more expensive suspension components) And unless your racing....regularly....the originality factor is better then the added 30 to 50hp. again, its my opinion, and last I check, on these boards, I am entitled to it. QUOTE(playr158 @ Nov 9, 2007 - 12:24 PM) sooner you learn that the sooner you become a real tuner ^And as far as this comment goes, come talk to me when your car IS a car, and not 10k pieces strune about your garage. -------------------- Kawi Love |

You really want an answer for this Traction issues are only a problem in the wet and if you launch hard, otherwise there aren't any traction issues here. If you are pushing well over 300BHP you probably also have the money to afford this http://www.racelogic.co.uk/ Not very good for you US guys cuz of the dollar exchange rate (Expect to pay over 3k ATM), but it is fitted on Aston Martins so I think it works -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

I have tried to lose traction in a vehicle equipped with a similiar system, and It reacts very quickly and I was quite impressed. However, I believe that it takes the fun out of driving and no longer becomes a competition of driver skill. I have a belief, and I think it's great to get into a car without many computer controlled traction or handling assist because it shows that it's not just the car that wins races, it's the driver. On a track, it seems like having your car completely control your power and traction seems boring. You might as well just be a passenger in the vehicle or a spectator. 5sfte, 3sgte, 4age, 4agze, 3sge, 7afte, 7agte, 7afe, 5sfe, 3sfe, 3zvfe, 3mzfe, 1mzfe, or w/e direction you choose to take is fine. Sometimes we look at the forum and don't see us indivisuals anymore. But what we need to remember is that all of us have our own opinions and choices. Although there have been many 5sfte projects done recently, we need to appreciate the effort all those are putting into the swap itself. We can all try to become original, but originallity does not always overcome function, as we can see with some of the exterior mods a few of us do not favor. If it works, then people will do it. I can understand the importance of not following the crowd, or not wanting to be like everyone else. But we all gotta try things out and see where they take us before we can move onto something new. And again. Congrats Jeff on the swap. Your car is loud without exhuast. I am glad you got exhaust put on today . -------------------- |

To keep this thread on topic, and not have it spiral out of hand at the expense of Lew, I'm gonna quote something i said b4, and add 1 final thought on this matter.
