do i have the take the front bumper off to change headlights? is there anyway around it?

No way around it. You have to take the bumper out. Its not that hard.

that sucks 'cause the shop didn't listen and molded the front extensions. i told them not to, but they said they wanted to please me and make it look better. lol. whatever... but anyways, now i kinda like it the way it is. if there's any chance around it i'd leave it. but, if you guys say no way around it, then they gonna have to re-do it. they said they would so no biggie...

The front bumper must be removed to access 2 bolts to the headlights, so there really is no way around it. Even if you manage to get to those 2 bolts, the bumper will still hold the headlights back from being removed from the car.

The only way to take the headlights off w/out removing your front bumper is by breaking those tabs that holds it in place. I would highly recommend against doing this. Bumpers were meant to be taken off, go ahead and tell the dudes at the shop to take "un-mold" the extensions.
