you have to remember a couple if important difference between that 5th gen and our celicas are the 5th gen is an all trac with all wheel drive.
Our celica's do not have awd drive train, therefore we can not easily put a V8 rwd in our celica. |

I guess its a 6 cylinder I'm going with. I know somebody said I'm not capable of doing this but my dad is gonna help me with it and I need to learn somehow. lol.....you can do anything with a welder and chop saw....lol u have some major researching to do..like what about having all that weight in the front of our cars and upsetting the distrubution of weight all would go to the front and nothin in the back..= no traction lol ....ive thought about doing a v8 rwd conversion if i ever totall out my celica but i also have a step dad who know's how to custom fab pretty much anything...hehe ur pretty much lookin at taking the whole car apart and making a tube chassis drag car..

FYI a V6 is very feasible

if you stick in a 8 cylinder, lift the car, then you wont have clearance problems with trnsmission...
