QUOTE(Batman722 @ Jan 22, 2008 - 10:13 PM) snap, you are going to have a great celica once this is done. With all you have been through and to finally see this through is remarkable. respect. I appreciate it Dustin. Its been a very tough road, but I have learned many things. QUOTE(jgreening @ Jan 23, 2008 - 8:58 AM) Colin, the reviews on the TRD supercharger for the 1mz are mixed with some very knowledgable people pretty critical. You might want to look for posts from Toysrme on mr2.com. Personally, I would go with a custom rotrex setup if I ever supercharged that beast. Glad to see things are coming along. - Jay Jay, thanks for the heads up. I will probably never S/C it, but if i do this is good info. My god that's a massive lump of engine
I know you're gonna enjoy that when it's all over. One thing I see tho - it's gonna be a lot of work just to change something as simple as the alternator. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. access on this engine is not compromised, there is plenty of room between the firewall and the rear bank, same with the front back and the radiator. The engine is pretty much dead center in the engine bay.
the alternator is super easy to remove, no sweat there, pretty much the same deal as with a 5SFE alt. rear spark plugs require a bit of maneuvering but can be taken out and back in with ease. there is plenty of room under the intake manifold to pull out the coils/wires. -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------

Take a look at the passenger side mount adapter being made (click the "next" button to see step by step progress of machining). Amazing work by Carl. CLICK Note: As you'll see, the both the stock mount and the "adapter" made by forgmann (the 6gc member that was working on this swap previously) are TERRIBLE. Luckily for my blood pressure, we're coming close to the deadline where legal remedies will be sought if he does not pay the reimbursement agreed upon. -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

UPDATE:
Exhaust is done. Using a Greddy sp2 catback + speed-source magic up front. I need these two parts asap though: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=55670 Please PM me if you can help. I think the plan is to get it done as soon as possible while still keeping to the quality they're known for with custom work. -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ
