man, i am continually amazed by carls work.
impressive.
i would love to spend a day just marveling at the great work this car is gonna have into it when its done.
its not gonna be the fastest car on 6gc, but it WILL without a doubt be one of the best built!
looks great man, loving the custom crossmember.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

The car is getting close - the ECU was just sent off to get the immobilizer programmed out. By the time it gets back late this coming week, i think we should be ready for start up. Don't quote me on that, but Carl is pushing to finish her up. smile.gif

Yes, it is GREAT news. The check engine light did not even come on! Carl says it sounds like we have an exhaust leak coming from a bad rear gasket (not something he has touched yet) ...so after he takes care of that and some other misc. things, she's going for a spin. smile.gif

so the v6 came out of a solara, now solaras have a digital mile counter and we dont have digital, was that a problem. where is mileage stored, in the digital display memory or the ecu...

It always puzzled my mind...

If all goes well, i'll probably go pick it up in 2-3 weeks. Two reasons. I want to make sure he has enough behind the wheel time to know everything is working in mint condition and it will make the 1,000 drive with zero issues. Also, i have to watch the price on plane tickets. If i were to go any sooner, i'd be paying a mega premium. As much as i'd love to go get it right away, i don't want to try and rush things at this point ...its come along way, why tinker with the fine balance now?

Highly doubt it, sorry. Read above for more info.

Lets just say Carl is simply a master yoda. smile.gif
He'll be working out these "smaller items" now that car is running. RPMs etc...
