Its going to be really hard to find a gt-four for sale in the US, you'll have a lot easier time finding a 6th gen with a 3sgte swap or a 4th/5th gen Alltrac. I think even if you did find a ST205 you would pay a ton, just because everyone here wants one. Good luck in your seaching though

You need to do some research before jumping into this. I know you said money aint a problem, but to import a car into the US you would have to buy 2 of them and crash one to get the crash test results. But there is more to it then just the crash results. You still gotta pay the shipping fee, tax fee and port fees. You also have to go through US customs so they won;t take your car away from you and you've just bought it. Theres a lot you have to do. To make your life easier contact an importer. I think you should buy 2 and crash one to get the crash test documented so we us 6th gen owners when we strick gold can go out and get a gt4 into the US without having to get one crash tested wink.gif.

you need more than 2 to do the crash test. they gotta crash it multiple times from different angles and what-not. which is kinda dumb since they pretty much have the same body and chassis as the usdm ones. plus you gotta install some emissions stuff to the engine in order to meet smog laws. and insurance is gonna cost more since its an import and performance car. might as well just do a 3s swap with awd conversion and pay off a guy every other year to pass smog.

there is a little tool called a search thingie on these forums. There are at least 98 threads in archives covering what you need to do if you ever wanted to import gt4.

And because there have been suggestions posted here let me clarify a couple of things.

#1 You do not have to crush anything to bring a gt4 to usa. That was not a part of requirements for all those gt4s imported here.

#2 Yes celica must meet dot regulations if it is to become street legal. That also implies that legally if has to be stripped off jdm goodies.

#3 To import a celica to usa it will cost you under 20K but no less than 17K. You can import it in pieces and or without an engine and or without other things ie as a front clip and back clip shipped to 2 different locations.

#4 Importing gt4 to usa is sooooo not worth it its not even funny. For hassle and problems it is easier to find a import facility ie there is a place in florida that has successfully imported and sold a gt4 here. its been discussed in like 50 threads.

#5 its 2:15 am and I cant think anything more to suggest other than search for past threads.

this is as simple as this:

import an st205, legal or not.
let it in your backyard
swap all the equipement from the 205 in your celica
you won't miss no piece and you will have a lhd ST205, full legal and with the good serial numbers.

The rear subframe is different on the st205 so even if you could get one
it's not like you could just unbolt stuff and bolt it on your gt to make it awd.
