Very over priced. You can get a K&N one for 50bucks with an afm adapter.

I know that the K&N filter is an oil-base filter made out of cotton......so it's not that great because I don't want oil messing up my AFM. I wanted to get a dry filter like this one, but I also wanted to know if anybody had experienced with this. Anyways, after doing some more research, I think I am going with the AEM Dryflow filter. Yea, it costs a little more than the K & N but its worth it. When your filter gets dirty, blow it out with an air hose and your set to go again. I loved mine.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

The AFM consists of a mechanical flapper door, and an air temp sensor. There is nothing there that could get messed up. You're probably thinking of the Hotwire setup cars like the 7th gens that have more fragile air flow meters. The one on the 3s is fairly beefy.

That only applies to MAF's... which aren't the same as AFM's... although people tend to flipflop acronyms for both...

Oh, that's interesting....I thought they were synonymous to each other. Well, whatever the case, I decided the Apex'i filter is too overpriced.
