Hi all.
As many of you know, I am in the process of boosting my 7A, but due to a new house purchase, I have not done it yet. In the mean time, I thought i'd set my SAFC2 up on the rolling road. Here are the mods so far. 1. Adjustable FPR (pressure set to stock) 2. Uprated air intake with cold air feed. 3. NGK Plugs and wires. 4. Full exhaust system (2.5 inch - as i will have turbo) with sports Cat. I ended up with 118whp. I know it doesnt set the world alight, but a great improvement. |

good to know! i need to get my safc2 working correctly, tuned, and on the dyno sometime in the spring (i hope).
i have similar mods, but a little more than you and i KNOW i feel a significant difference over stock, i pretty sweet little pull that just gets killed when the wideband dips off past 12.5:1. i want to tune for an AFR of 13:1 at the richest, i think that may net me a nice pull at WOT across the rev range. -------------------- |

Not an Integra Type-R website. don't dog on him with some other car's horsepower numbers. I think it's pretty sweet that you got a couple more horsepower out of it, Funky. keep up the good work. thanks for the comments. I was inspired by the 7AFTE'rs on here. Once turbo'd, i'll be the first SR to be boosted.

what year is yours? if possible bump the timing up by 5 degrees and run one grade better of gasoline in it, then check the dyno again. you should see a bump in torque and a few more hp from that, pretty much free power.

I will eventually change to the e-manage. Jared, I got 118 whp out of it, you lazy man. haha |

I only paid like US$100 for it from a supplier from Japan. it was used. I recently mapped SAFC Neos on my 1998 Tiburon and A customer's 2001 Tiburon and the Neo is more powerful, but I prefer the SAFC2.
There are always SAFC's on ebay dude. If you need a Neo, I'm sure i can hook you up through my Cali based suppliers. |

just before mapping, I had brand new sports cat, ngk o2 sensor and intake. Oh, and my stainless 2.5 inch system from cat back (i know it's big, but I have turbo planned after I move house).
I got 108hp max power. Jared, yes shipping to you should be cheap. I will call suppliers on Monday and let you know. |

stock transmission for now, but i'll invest in either ACT or Exedy clutch upgrade when this one goes. While i;m at it, i'll take a couple of pounds off the stock flywheel. The Fidanza (and other aftermarket) flywheels are too light.

i have an auto, so i'm expecting a little less at the wheels but still hoping for over 100whp with the air/fuel tune and the mods listed in my signature.

Also, you have the luxury if fiddling with your timing without ECU. We might well be on par, but not sure. Let me know how you get on buddy. |
