holy hell..36 people Ok..well this looks like its gonna b a good meet, i still havent talked to any of my friends about it yet too. Ok, well...what we are going to have to do is most likely share rooms with other members just to make it a little eaiser for booking. Unless we go with 2 diff hotels that is. But, ok...so im gonna have some time off in a few weeks time, so i think around then ill start making some phone calls seeing about bookings, prices for hotel, etc and when i get the answers, ill close this thread and post the new one..

BTW, that turbo echo looks crazy. First echo sedan ive ever liked the look of.

im gonna be makin the phone calls today about hotels. Most likely, what we are gonna have to do is maybe do 2 people or 2 couples to a room, depending if they have enough rooms or not. But once i get all the info, ill close this post and re-open a new one with the full list of people coming, hotel info, meeting info, and for Ontario people meeting places for the convoy. For the east coasters, you might wanna plan on where you will be meeting people if your all going to be traveling together.

Ok, so i called some places for hotels today, but since its the weekend, no managers are in, so i gotta call back during the week. So any ways, the rates they are gonna give us, without the manager's discount is gonna be $104 for a room with a queen and a pull out couch, and $110 for a room with 2 double beds. So, it looks like we might need to maybe put some people rooming with other people, just to cut down on costs.

I am going to be calling back on monday afternoon and talking to the manager and seeing if i can work out a better price, the woman i was talking to said that most likely just for the amount of rooms we would be looking at, the manager woud cut probably 20% off the cost.


But the best places ive found for the price is either the Comfort Inn, just on the outskirts of Sherbrooke, or the Quality Inn, across the road..lol. They are both about 6 KM to the city, and about 7KM away from a nice big lake.

Any ways, we should figure out if people are gonna b staying together, and if so, whos staying with who. Like i think maybe 2 people to a room if we go with the rooms with the 2 double beds.

Also, if you want a smoking room, please say so. Im most likely gonna b puttin our confromation in this week at some point, so im gonna need to know how many rooms, as well as roomates, and smoking or not.
