i hear this nfs is more of a sim than an arcade type racing game. a lot different than the underground/most wanted/carbon nfs'. plus its off the streets and all on tracks.

I actually like it, its got a bit more of a Grand Turismo feeling to it.

Me and my roomate rented it for the Wii 2 days ago. Its pretty fun. The drag racing is soooo much better then it was. Right now we have a cobalt SS thats running 11.2 1/4s, our maxed out 240SX for grip, a 500HP GTO for drifting *witch is more like real drifting now than it was in other games*, and we just bought a R34 GTR for highspeed runs. The game is really fun, but we honestly didnt know we could buy cars up untill yesterday. Witch kinda sucks. But the game is pretty fun and i like that they took the whole "street racing" vibe out and brought it into a street racing style track racing. Plus i like having different cars being set up for different styles of racing. IE in the old ones you have your 1100HP supra, that you use for track racing, drifting, drag, etc. This one you have your 240SX for grip/time attack/sector shootout, your Cobalt SS for drag racing only, your GTO for drift, and your what ever for your highspeed runs. Its pretty good that you dont just have 1 super car any more.

i does have a clutch button for the game. it keeps saying during loadin to use the clutch button for increase challange or something. i tried using yesterday using clutchin kickin method for my 86 when drifting and it actually work alil. my fingers move like tsuchiya's feet lol.

lol...im almost done it..4 days of play and im pretty damn close to finishing it. Right now i got a 1060HP Drag Supra, 700hp E46 M3 grip car, 500HP GTO drift car and a 900 hp R34 highspeed car. I wonder why they didnt encoperate the clutch button in the Wii version. Probably because Wii only has 4 bottons.

probably also because the Wii is considered a kid's game system and how many 5 yr olds do you know that use a manual tranny in video games.lol. But dang does the Wii take some getting used to with the controls. still fun smile.gif

I got it for pc and like it but there are some things that I dont understand,

I bought a STI for drag racing and discoverd that you can do RWD burnouts in an AWD car to warm the tires? also after the first race theres a video of the "king" doing rwd downuts in his evo does not make sence, are they that dumb or is something wrong.

I got the civic and was using it for drag with 250hp then decided to use it for grip/time etc. and not only did it piss me off that you have to lose all your blueprints when swapping a car to another class, but when i built it back the same way it has 350hp, I double checked and rebuilt it as a drag and it was back down to 250, drove me nuts.

my AE86 with minimal mods and 150hp pulls a 12.85 1/4 mile time, how is it that fast its not that light.

I like the car modding for the most part but I dont understand it, under engine mods one option is "castrol syntec" costing $13000 make sence of that mod? also is it just me or is making money really hard, I like that its not that easy but I dont do much damage at all and other then drag I have never got less then 1st in grip races but the decent mods are so pricey I cant buy much of anything.

I've hered just about enough of the name Ryan Cooper, every second the annoying anouncer is talking about him, far overkill. its also funny when I'm a half lap ahead of everyone on the last turn of a race is he is exspaning how its anybodes race. RYAN COOPER RYAN COOPER RYAN COOPER RYAN COOPER.

What I have:
grip: WRX STI (stock)
drag: AE86 (modded to 150hp with susp stage 1 stuff)

Ive been playing for a little while, almost all battle machine days dominated except one that requires a grip/drag/ and drift car as I cant afford another car to use as drift and my AE86 cant pull 1st place in a drag comp to save its life, fun car though.

^ True,

I just get sad when I see another game that could have been great fall short. I got spoiled with video game car modding when Street Legal and SL: Redline came out, they had there own list of problems but when you could take apart your cars motor part by part, buy new pistins rods, head's cams etc. and install em strap on a turbo header and turbo, crank up the boost and see some real numbers, burn though the cluch and have to yank the tranny to install a new one then try this where your picking things from a list and the hp number is relative to what you use the car for it makes me sad.
