Ok who's idea was it to put the starter in the rear of the motor on the 7afe. Does anyone have an easy way to get that sucker out of there. I have just about thrown my back out from bending over the car half upsidedown tring to get that thing out. Has anyone tried getting it out from under the car. There is a million to one chance that I can get that thing started so I can get it up on ramps,I just want to know before hooking it back up. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

i changed the starter on my 7AFE...i used a combination of under/above the car to get it...primarily from under the car is the best way to get it if i'm remembering correctly. it was a while back.. smile.gif.

The starter on the GT is right under that air box, but it's crammed in a tight spot, it took me about 3 hours, mainly becuase they gave me the wrong starter, the little plastic piece(part of hot wire I think) didn't match, so I had to go to a diff shop and pick up another starter, advanced auto blows.... never get parts from them, they always mess up
