The filter under question
Oil Filter So this says it fits late model GT-S's (2zz-GE) and Turbo model (3S-GTE's) but seriously 63 dollars for an oil filter? I'm assuming it would fit most S-series equipped celica's since the filter used is the same but does anyone know if there's really anything special about this filter or is it just TRD trying to make some money off some poor saps? Oh and this is the factory oil filter big difference in cost Factory oil filter This post has been edited by RavenAegis45: Oct 19, 2013 - 12:38 AM |

Hmm, I get the feeling it's like half of the TRD items on eBay.

i pay around $20NZD for a genuine oil filter which,
for non turbo the P/N is 90915-10003 for turbo the P/N is 90915-10004 its essentially the same filter but a little taller... if you feel the need to have more filtration area... but otherwise, genuine is good. dont be a sucker, that extra money can go in your fuel tank or something. -------------------- Mike W

the YZZF2 is a smaller filter that goes on the 1ZZ engine. the YZZF1 filter is about an inch longer, same diameter. I use that filter on my 7th gen and on 5S-FE, it will also fit on the 7A but i think it gets really close to the header.
the V6 uses a larger diameter filter. i forget the YZZ number it think its a YZZ-D1 but i do know that it is also labeled FO-8. thats also the same filter i use on the Supra -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
