well try to beat this, i got a 62 in a 30, and then the next weekend 7 days exactly i got a 99 in a 50, still trying to pay for both of those, total for 62 ina 30 is gonna be $525 and then the 99 ina 50 has been $250 for lawyer fees already and i still dont know what the court fine + costs will, then i already paid $105 upfront on that one so yeah

what, are you trying to compete to see who has had the most speeding tickets..? If you were in WA, that 60 in a 30 woulda gotten you a fellony, not something you want to brag about.

edit: and chacha, alot of areas have quota's for cops to make like each day. The more people they give tickets to, the more pay they get.

hahaha...im not proud of what i have done either....im watching my a$$ too when im on the road...regardless...even when being careful, i still get pulled over from time to time...because i have a set of rims and a muffler...lol...i agree with vert...you should more careful. the law is not someone you want to mess with when it comes down to your investment...(generally speaking "MONEY")...heck i would be pissed if i had to pay a fine for 1Cent....money is money and being a student myself...it makes it even worse when i have to cough up $5 dollars from time to time for food on campus...no one out there is going to give you money, even a dollar, people wouldn't give...frown.gif

I was going 72 In a 55... Workers present... and i was singing some stupid song on the radio staring into space and i get pulled over.

I need a good lawyer in Montgomery County.

Someone help me!

If I pay the ticket its gonna be 560ish.. damn

I don't mean to brag, but I was doing the same speed over the limit you were...17 mph. But I was doing 52 in a 35. I got pulled over, and I skated by with "here's a warning, have a nice night sir!!" I think the reason you got the ticket was because workers were present. Otherwise I think you could have gotten away with it.

________

heres my story:
158 in a 100 = $585 and loss of license for 5 months
then 80 in a 50 = $270 and loss of license for 2 months
then driving while suspended = $350 and loss of license for 6 months and 30 day impoundment and $500 impounding fee

And i get my license back TODAY. Its gonna cost me $350.
And i have a stock 5sFe wow i don't think i should get a 3sgte.

If you admit you were breaking the law, how will a lawyer help? *confused*

Airfron sounds like he has something he might need a lawyer for, but other than a wrongful charge, what can a lawyer do?

km/h. He's from Manitoba. We have 110 km/h zones around here.

WTF is wrong with a lot of you? You sound proud for getting speeding tickets, do you display them too? I was golfing with some guy a few years back and he got a ticket on the way to the golf course doing 130 in a 60 zone. We all laughed at him for being such a retard.

Last year, not far from my place, someone was doing something like what chinaman was and they killed a roadworker because they weren't paying attention while speeding through an area where workers were present.

I think some of you need to do a lot more growing up because it seems like maturity doesn't kick in until you get caught.

Over here in Windsor, Ontario we have the E.C. Row Expressway which allows 100 km/h but everyone does atleast 120 anyway. But yeah man, what Sinyk said...speeding tickets aren't cool....but as for the incident about killing the road worker...seems more like careless driving than just a speeding ticket...and take it from me--i got into an accident, semi-totalled my saturn (repairable damages, except both airbags deployed) and wrecked another person's moving vehicle---got issued a careless driving ticket, they wanted $350 (CAD) and 6pts...i got it fought off, but damn it was steep...i was goin like 50-60 on a light drizzle of rain one night..and i was FWD drifting/powersliding, but there was some oil on the road due to the starting of rain, and my car slipped out so my head went forward instead of turning at a certain degree then BOOM.....so yeah guys take it from me...after that and the month and half after....it really sucked having to deal with lawyer and renting a car for awhile, and occasionally walking/bus. But because of this, lead to my 6g biggrin.gif but still....i know it feels great to floor your car especially if you have a loud BOV, or exhaust + intake....but you have to uphold a certain amount of responsibility--leave it for the track, that's why i stopped street racing or atleast do it at a location where ppl are there for street racing.

On a side note, invest in a cop scanner tongue.gif one of the greatest toys you'll ever buy in your life hehehe...i could tell you stories of me and my friends, but i'll leave that for another time, unless that is you want me to tell you about it haha.

Well now that I have thought hard about this, the place where I finally STOPPED my car was a work zone, and there were workers down the road, but thats because the cop made me go way down the road before giving me a ticket... I'm starting to think the area where he originally got my speed was way before the work zone. THAT is how I plan on fighting it.

BTW, sinyk, I am NOT proud of getting my ticket, infact I am pissed because I was minding my own business just cruising around. I rarely go over 80 in my car because that puts me at 4k revs, which I HATE doing to my car. Cmon, 4k does not sound good constantly...

Jeez, you guys dont give anyone a break. Nobody goes 55 there.. if you know what the roads are like here, 59 is entirely construction for twenty miles. Well a construction ZONE, not necessarily workers present...

doesn't matter, don't get me wrong, I speed too, but when there is a construction zone i slow down to 45 and I dont give a flying fish how many people are honking at me... you are taking the chance that way, and a huge one to that... so no breaks with something like this...

If you knew the area I'm talkin about, and had the day I had, you would just be cruising as well.

This "construction zone" is a huge stretch of highway that had no workers even visible..
