Swapping from a 97 GT to a 3s-gte

im looking for someone that has done this before or has pics of theres already done so i will know what wire goes to what...thanks for the help...i contacted dgperformance but still waiting for his reply.

if you have pics or a wiring diagram that would be more helpful or a tutorial on which wire goes to what... if all goes well i might have this project finished in late spring of next year since its so hectic with the holidays then that tax and more crap to come...

A tutorial doesnt exist because of the large amount of work it would take to write one up. There is a fair bit of wiring that has to be done, and its something that probably shouldn't be done by a first time swapper.

Talk to DG or drtweak. Im sure one of them will be able to help you out.

Isn't the wiring different for each gen of the 3SGTE ? I heard the wiring was much easier to swap on the ST205.

I saw a wire harness that Dr. Tweak was selling on ebay for a 3sgte but not sure which gen it was for... i was thinking of getting the 3sgte from a 94 MR2... oh and i did message both DG and Tweak but none has so far replied

i thought the st205 was a plug and play since it is from the same model car.. is there a tutorial on the wire harness for the st205

It basically is a plug and play, but you'll have 10 wires left to wire up. Get the wiring diagram for the year st205 motor and a wiring diagram for your year motor.

Yes, contact Dr. Tweak at http://www.phoenixtuning.com
His harnesses are all plug and play and ready to go thumbsup.gif
What you will need to do is take out the main wiring harness from the celica and the main harness off of the engine clip. Then you put it in a box and send it to him. Talk to him about how he wants payment whether it would be paypal or money order.
