I'm planning on getting a power antenna, but I have a question.

Is it possible to only get it half way extracted instead of fully?
I don't like it when my antenna is all the way out, it sticks out too far.

the power antenna stops when it reaches a bump. Its the relay that detects when the motor is forced and stops it. so technically if you were to put some glue in the right spot, to prevent it from sticking out all the way it could. I would not recomend it tough, it is that leght for a purpose, then you will have bad reception.

Thanks for your reply,

That's a good idea with the glue, but where do I put it? Maybe on the drivebelt of the antenna motor?

As for the length, I have a stock antenna and always retract it by hand about 40-50 cm (15-20 inches) and still have good reception. It will possibly be the same with a power antenna.

Im not sure if that will work because the antena has to be a certain length to pick up the full wave length meaning your quality will suffer. if i were you id buy an internal antenna from a local car part shop there about 70USD and then the stock antenna will always stay down

I've found a few sites where they sell an antenna.

installer.com/antenna/power.html

autotoys.com

search for metra 44-pw32 or 32b

It's a an antenna that's ~18 inches (~46cm) long.

I don't know if it will fit, but I think it will.
