well, im getting ready to get my interior done.
I have a few different options that i would like some opinions on. Since i have the custom red paint with orange in it, im also getting burnt orange ghost flames done and would like to have some of the different colors inside as well as outside. I already have the center pop-out console painted to match the exterior. 1st- have the seats recovered in red and black vinyal(kinda like vphmc's seats) and cover the headliner in black vinyal. 2nd-have the seats done in black vinyal with red stitching or red piping 3rd-have the seats done in orange stitching or orange piping or if anyone has any other options, please let me know. -------------------- Jared Harwell

go with the first idea. solid black seats suck in the summer.

I reckon you should keep the base color of the seats black because the interior of our cars have a lot of black everywhere so it would fit in/match better.
Also bear in mind that the seats are the largest items in your car so they will stick out/be very visible. Try to keep the theme running from the outside-in (if you see what I mean). If you could get a color to match the candy apple red exterior that would work well. How about black and candy apple red with either silver or orange stitching? If you want to make it loud, you could try a base/main color of candy apple red (where mines black) and orange (where mines red). That I might work...really depends on how visible the orange pearl undercoat of the exterior shows. BTW: If I was to re-cover my seats again I would go the extra $$'s and get leather. Vinyl (skaii) attracts the heat big-time and makes you sweat alot...not too pleasant in the summer! This post has been edited by vphmc: Aug 18, 2003 - 7:53 AM |

I personally like the stitching ideas. That way you have some accents, but it doesnt look to clashed or cluttered. Either way good luck, and make sure you get some pics up after its all done! Bad ass car man!

That's a damn good price.
I paid $550 (front and rear) and that's with a 20% discount. It's expensive over here! Good luck with the color combinations and let us know when your done. |
