Southbend TZ ftw! May I ask why you don't want the front mount insert? Go for the PPE header

rear mount was 5 bucks used.. lol and no PPE header for me! I rejected my chance of getting a Weapon R race header for 350... I will be autocrossing the car soon, so a stock header is fine.. especially when its ported, polished, and honed for the price of a decent dinner.. hehehe..
picking up the header tommorow. |

big no no on the yellow headlights.. ordering my 6000K HIDs from HELLA tommorow. I plan on adding some Filipino spice to my car when I get it tinted.. rear quarter will contain a "ghost" sticker of the Filipino flag. Ill probably have it 35% all around since I drive with my windows down most of the time..
BTW Inspected my car on the lift yesterday when I had my new set of tires installed.. from Ziex 512 to Fuzion ZRi. My Borla has a dent in it.. nothing attractive especially since its a biggie dent. Might replace it with a stock axle back with some umph to it.. soon enough at least.. BTW Rotrex is in my mind with this car.. |

Long day. Sadly, didn't get finished. Started at around 9AM we got the engine out by 11:30AM, the cold weather sucks. Lunch break till around 12:30PM.. a few complications arrised. No exhaust gasket, had to get one from the dealership. Minivan's tire blew out.. as it was returning with the gasket. Fun day.. as everything was set.. engine was back in.. bolting everything.. a bolt was rounded.. the driver side control arm bolt in fact.. not fun. Around 6PM its dark as can be outside.. time to call it a day..
Tommorow, everything will be finished up and running. |

She purrs again. Stronger than before from what I remember. Still on jacks we ran through the gears. The drop light on the ground flashes as the spokes of the 5Zigen FN01RC rotates faster. What a beautiful show. Off the stands, all the fluids are checked. Minor smoke from the soaked exhaust flange courtesy of the PB Blaster. Oil is clean, fresh Toyota Red with a touch of Water Wetter runs through the cooling system. New Mobil 1 Oil lubricates the transmission gears. The AEM Intake whistles happily as the engine is freely rev'd. After we shut it down, fluid levels are checked. All up to standards. Temperature was good. Gas gauge is full, a rare moment. As we restart a THUD appears. Doh! The damn engine hoist mount. Removal wasn't an option the bolt is too close to the exhuast manifold, which is hotter than normal because of the missing heat shields. That step is for tommorow.. Now Food and Homework. I'll provide a sound clip tommorow. |

What a POS. Being around Acura's all day long, I had an idea of what the combination of projectors + 4300K Hella HID kit would look. I guess I was expecting too high, I was hoping for a TSX/TL Effect. I got nowhere close, DAMN my condensing headlight. Oh well, live and learn. I'll get a picture of the HIDs when I find my camera... its always missing.. LOL.

lol halogen projector lenses aren't too good. Try sourcing the OEM HID headlights or swap out the lenses for ones from a TSX and whatnot.

HOLY SH!T A MONEY PIT!!!
Quizzicle look, no abnormal bounce.. but all four of my struts are blown. Compressable with my bare hands and it didn't spring back into place... The car is stiff as a rock, no bounce when weight is added on the corners.. I guess the 280/360 Hotchkis springs are good... |
