Hey guys, i was wondering what I should look for when it comes to finding out if I have a broken knock sensor, since its the same knock sensor thats always been with the engine since it was blown. I have no codes AT ALL which is good i guess but would it throw a CEL if it was gone?

it would set a code, and put the car in "limp" mode.

When its in limp mode the ecu pulls alot of timing, so when you give it some boost, it basically stays the same, if not slower. My twos knock sensor went out just last week kindasad.gif . Id check the wiring first, sometimes the wires will go bad.

toyota makes kinda crappy knock sensors, i belive they sell a better one for cheaper at atsracing.com.

Is your gauge correct? Install the tvsv leds to monitor when it goes into low boost mode. (If you havent already.)
