Hold on
Do you want a GT-Four hood? Or a GT-Four style hood? because a real GT-Four hood, or a CF hood meant for one will not fit properly on your car unless you have the GT-Four front bumper. Now, if you're looking for a GT-Four styled hood then VIS is where you should go. Get the Zyclone hood. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

don't forget, Varis makes a CF hood for GT-Fours.. afaik, only 2 members here have this hood.
you can get this hood from bulletproofautomotive.com. it costs about $1600 total shipped and are made to order so it will take 3-6 months before you get it. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

kinda off topic, but isnt the OEM GT4 hood stupid light in the first place? I think it was Art, Jeff or Manny told me that a CF hood would probably weigh more than an OEM GT4 hood.

yeah, the gt-four hood is very light. when i pull on the hood release handle, my hood jumps from its latch.. (btw, i'm not using the safety latch)

oh ok i was not aware of the differences. So the ViS hood would be a better fit for a ST? The only reason im getting the hood is for room...right now my piping is hitting the roof of my hood and scrapping the piping and I have a the ViS invader kit. I just figured the original GT4 would be more likely to fit...but now that you guys said that and i think about it it really doesnt make sense for it 2. Thanks!

I have a 94 Gt with RC with Water to air intercooler full swap...
My stock hood have better clearance than my Vis Racing Zyclone Carbon fiber Hood. I had to use the buffer on the Vis Racing hood to fit it on the top mount intercooler. |

There you go. The only place I think and it will take up to about 6 months to get. You'll need the gtfour bumper so you wont get that gap. -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer

Ordering the hood from bulletproof seriously takes forever which is why I gave up. I think my total came out to like $1,300 but it would take over 6-8 months to arrive so im like.... no thanks.
The OEM GTfour hood is aluminum and iirc weighs 20lbs. The Varis CF hood should weigh about 16lbs. Also keep in mind that if you buy the Varis CF hood, you still need to buy all the vents and scoops for the hood as well which would be about another $200-$300. -------------------- |

How much does the Varis cf hood cost?
Okay nevermind it still comes to almost a grand without shipping. The factory st205 hood is the cheapest way to go. -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer
