QUOTE(CelicaST_CALI @ Dec 16, 2007 - 5:05 PM) these are the tires im thinking of: Yokohama S.drive http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...yes&place=0 Yokohama tires give great performance. really good grip and handling. but they wear out quick! if you want to be replacing them every year, possibly sooner depending on how hard you drive them, then they are great! although, 225/35/17 is a super low profile tire, any pothole could easily damage your nice new wheels. you might want to go with a 225/45/17, the difference in ride quality will be pretty big, and they'll lift you a little bit higher off the ground to keep you from scraping on every speed bump and it'll keep your wheels safer. 225/45/17 seems to be the most popular tire size on this website for the people who demand performance out of their cars. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

I like wheel #2
225/45/17 is a good size for 7.5 wheel. 35 is just too low, youll hate it. |

QUOTE(CelicaST_CALI @ Dec 16, 2007 - 9:33 PM) hmm im thinking 225/40/17..mabye nitto neo gens?? good luck finding that size. 225/45/17 is much more common and therefore will be a lot cheaper. I don't know much about Nitto tires, so I can't really comment. Toyo Proxes T1R's are excellent tires, same with Falken Azenis, maybe you should consider those. Some others to consider are the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 and BF Goodrich G-force Sport. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

What are your plans? Wide and low pro tires with a slammed look? or a decent ride thats lowered?
You can search around tirerack for pricing on the tires you want. 225/40 - speedo is off by 5ish or more mph, 225/45 great ride and good grip, speedo will be changed very slightly |

Hello.
I'm having a similar problem that you are. I decieded not to go down the black route tho. I more of wanting to show off the wheels and rims. Think the black hides them too much. Please show pictures of what you do do. I posted a similar question. Size i am wanting is 215/40/R17. But 225 still v good. Hate the standard ones i have on. |
