From Skokie, Illinois <- we have about 7" of snow on the ground right now... + ice from week... it's somewhat bad here... (I'm about 20 minutes away from him...)
tbh, you dont want to do anything that will change the control/handeling of a car since you will have to learn how to handle it, and snow is not a place to be learning that on... This post has been edited by Celicam8: Dec 16, 2007 - 12:12 AM |

lx.. originally i was in SoCal... moved here a few wks ago... im in desplaines..i was shovelling 2 min ago... and 2hrs ago, the snow was comming down nice... owell my car doesnt look like it will be moving for a little while... its kinda burried...
and as far as rimsize 17" give you best control and handeling... 18" imo are way too big for a car like this... you should think about 17" and adding a spacer... but as i said before, hold out on things where you will be altering how the car will be responding and handeling... way too much to learn on pavement like this.. Save your money for spring, and buy some exterior stuff... maybe clean up and dynamat it if you are a audiophile... |

i drove a massively lowered car, with 2" of ground clearance under the motor in 6"+ of snow....i didn't have a problem?!
neither do any of my friends.... here is a 2.5" drop on coilovers + 18" wheels as for your fender issue, i would just get a new fender. umm curren tails are a nice clean simple modification that you can do as well, carbon fiber trunk lids are even better maybe clear side markers from procarparts helps clean things up a bit. You wont haver a problem in the snow with a drop. I dropped my car and it drives just fine. Its the tires you'll have to worry about. IMO 17 for looks and 16's for handeling. 18's crap, but some times look good on the celi.

I never said he will have a problem... I was saying he is lowering the car it feels different and learning how its supposed to feel is not what you want to do on snow... my car is lowered also and I have no problem, except that they dont know how to clean roads here if their life depended on it
