Hey guys, has anyone done anything interesting with their exhaust? I was looking in to maybe modifying it a bit. I want to get a bit of a deeper sound out of it, maybe gain some HP that way? I don't want anything too ricey or too loud... so none of those "ebay" pipes will work, i think

Also, here's another question to avoid making a new topic... what does your 6G celi idle at? I was working on my dash and accidentally managed to pull my tachometer needle off the little pin that moves it... kindasad.gif

apexi, greddy and hks all make good exhausts, and they aren't just fart cans. if you're looking for major HP gains, look into upgrading the header all the way back to the exhaust, and a GOOD exhaust, not some cheapo, you need the backpressure to help with the HP gains. the header and pipes will provide a cleaner path. ore there's the good ol' port/polish.

do you have an ST or a GT? and do you have the 4afe or 5sfe? my 3rd gen 3sge idles at about 1200 when i first start the car, then drops down to about 750-800.

might throw something in the title mentioning that you have an idling question.

as far as header-back goes, are there any tri-y's for our car? I was planning on doing cat-back now with a magnaflow muffler and header-back later. Should I just wait on the exhaust and get a high-end one?
