Lately, ive been wanting to get some more hp out of the celi. Like i love my lil torque monster 5s, but im kinda wanting something diff. Ive been thinkin of gettin a EURO/J-spec 3SGE out of our cars. I spent part of the day shoppin around at a bunch of used auto places and found a 3rd gen 3SGE *like out of the eu/jdm GTs*, the only place i found one engine, with ecu and a cut wiring harness thats missin part of the harness for $1000. That seem like a decent price? I know im gonna either have to connect up the harness to mine or get another full harness to swap it fully. But seem decent?

I figure if i do get the motor, im gonna do a port and polish job, put my headers on, HKS cams and cam gears, and a full cold air intake. What kinda #'s you think that would put out? I know alot of the UK guys are puttin out 180 and change WHP with a cold air and a mild tune.

Hey valo if you are still thinking about doing this, Ive been planning the same swap with similar mods. Ive got an engine but its been slow progress sourcing the rest of the parts.

The engines without vvti react really well to new cams, the stock ecu can handle up to 270 deg of duration, and the head can be ground out and fitted with taller springs for more lift. 200whp is prolly attainable with higher comp pistons, theyre out there but are tricky to find.

CAN$1000 seems reasonable but i dont know the exchange rate, i found engines around US$900 before shipping.
The one i have came from some guy in ohio of 200 bucks thumbsup.gif , definitly influenced my decision to swap my GT

good compression, low km/miles you might be looking at 140kW+/-
....with the mods I reckon you'd be looking at least 185kW.

the extrators built straight up?
