Well, my dash lights haven't been working for a while.... I finally pulled out my stero and rewired it(using a harness). That didn't work. I've got a possible dimmer switch that I am gonna purchase soon to replace my possible faulty one. Here's where I become an idiot...... I was using a meter to test the circuits in the dimmer swich and illumination switch.... wait for it..... and I forgot to disconnect my battery first.... tested the dimmer swich and all was normal on the wiring, not on the switch. I tested the illumintation switch wires and then there was a clicking noise coming from either the relay box or fuse box in the engine bay. Now my headlights don't work. My brake lights work. My running lights don't work when I put it just on the running lights but the side marker running lights work when I switch the switch to the "headlight on mode". The tails don't illuminate either now. I'm such a tard....... My question is, does this mean that a fuse probably blew, one of those "big fuses" in the relay box or underhood fuse box blew, or worse, wiring? Which would be most likely? I don't have fuse charts under the panels either b/c my kickpanel cover is totally missing and the one under the hood doesn't have and markings under it so I'm not sure what to try.
Thanks people again..... -------------------- |

well since you have a meter take 5 mins and just test to see if the fuses are getting power on both sides that would be the easy way to do it

Try pulling the fuses one by one in the car as well as in the engine bay & if blown replace it
I think there is a big fuse under the relay box but if that went you would get nothing at all |

well i would take a meter to it cause it can seem like the fuse is fine but it could still be blone and you just cant tell, i have had this happen to me and all it was, was a fuse other than that i have no real idea it might be a relay but this is what my friends said mine might be but i have no idea if this is even aplicable to your problem

Well, for some reason the only things not working now are my headlights(highs and lows). Everything else is deciding to work. I'm gonna buy enough fuses to replace everyone in my car and fix my positive cable b/c that has some corrosion going on.
