ahh the list...
this is what all had my name on it, or was "Mine" for a couple months from my 'rents in between vehicles... so here they are with the paid cost and the reasons i stopped driving them. 15 years old 78 Chevy C/K Pickup (4 on the floor) - farm truck that's been in the family since '78 got the ranger 91 Ford Ranger XLT - black 3.0 v6 Manual - paid $5500 in 97 - totaled it 89 Ford Tempo - Baby blue "Christmas Present" from the rents bought with my own savings-$2000... thrashed it every day - blew frost plug, sold to boneyard 48 Ford F-1 (original F Series Truck) - paid $500, sold for $1500 to a collector 4 months later 84 Pontiac 6000 - tougher than a sherman tank - $500 inbetweener car, think it just died one day while playing tag with it 86 Mitsubishi Mightymax 4x4 - best pickup ever - paid $1700 could get thru everything - think i threw a rod ......back to the 78 C/K for a bit...... 18 years old... joined military got mitsubishi fixed 19 (2002) Bought 98 PLYMOUTH Neon (yeah, not even a dodge) 1.8 SOHC Automatic (totally bought the wrong one, and i paid $16000 for it, instead of getting an eagle vision) - blew the head gasket, tried to do it myself at the 29 Palms auto hobby shop (with no help of the jerks at the hobby shop), after a couple weeks of not being able to figure it out, we put all the parts in a box and we took pushed it over to the shop across the street, and $1600 later, i had my car back. - sold for $1500 in 2006 Mitsubishi sold when i was in 29 palms by dad to cover cost of fixing it 23 (2006) 95 Toyota Curren - Black 3sge automatic - paid $1200 95.8 Celica SS-III - White 3sge automatic (i hate how you can never find a stick on okinawa FOR SALE) - paid $2300 and i turn 25 next week. 8 of those had my name on them at one point in time (the last 2 still do) i used to go through cars as fast as some people go through their underwear... -------------------- ~Andy

My first car was my parents 94 Ford Areostar..it was sooo terrible and the front end parts were so worn out that you could turn the wheel 1/3rd of the way around with the front wheels actually not moving..lol
Then i had a 87 Supra auto non-turbo hardtop. I bought it for $500 but it was MY first car. The first one i bought with my own $. I was 17 at the time. It had 350xxxkm on it, it had a bad tranny, bad motor mounts, no brakes. And when i mean no brakes, i mean i had no rotors or pads left on all 4 corners *untill i changed the fronts* and my brake lines were starting to rot out. It had an AM/FM radio with a tape deck, but only 1 speaker that barely worked. So i ended up throwing a boom box in my back seat connected to a power inverter. It had a hole in the exhaust, hole in the rear 1/4 pannel wheel well. So it was like middle of feb, freezing cold outside, but i had to drive around with my window down all the time so that the car wouldnt fill up with exhaust fumes. The rear window tint was all bubbled and you couldnt see out of it. It was about 4 different colours of white. The hatch wouldnt close all the way. It was such a POS, but honestly, i miss that car. and then i parked the supra and tryed to sell it, waited for about 3 months, no one bought it, so i donated it to my highschool shop. And then i bought my celica with all the $ i had saved up for trying to fix up the supra. |
