Hey guys i just got done running my power wire for my amp under my fender ( similar to this: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=39354&hl=) and i cut the grommet going into the footwell alittle and i was wondering if anyone had any water leakage when they did this cause that wouldnt be good. I didnt think it would leak so i put it all back together but i was just wanting to be sure before i took her down the road. I cut the grommet with the black wires coming out, not the one that has the air bag wireing or the hood release. Thanks

if you worried about it u could use a ziptie if the groment has what i think of as a tail a little ruber boot that sticks out a little way or a little silicone should keep it water tight

I've only had one leak but it was enough. Now just to be sure I pack a little silicone caulk or black RTV (whichever is handy) around the wire and onto the grommet. Odds are you won't have a leak but a little extra protection never hurts.

since i already got it all put back together, im just gonna keep a eye on it but if it shows the slightest hint of moisture im gonna silacone it...wait could i do this from the inside i never really seen the grommet but i know its pretty far up in there but that may be easier than taking out that plastic piece. thanks for the help
