Im thinking of moving on, And was wondering if some of you more experienced members would give me your
opinion of what you would think this car is worth.

Celica GT 5spd 116,000 mi. not much else is original

Here are some pics of its current state

And here are the treads that show everything done to it
all the modifications
after exterior overhaul

If your going to say its worth 6000 or less don't bother posting, if i wanted that answer I would have
asked Kelley blue book.

Anyway please let me know what you think. Or if Your interested shoot me a PM

dude, you have put too much blood, sweat and tears... i dont think theres a value amount for that... but tbh it wont matter to the buyer... wouldn't it be better if you got a new engine so you have almost new car... you have the most original celica (THAT LOOKS GOOD) on this forum... no way you can sell it

especially if some dip**** buys that car and trashes it a week from now

I agree with Celicam. I think you're going to be disappointed with what people will want to pay. You've done a lot of amazing mods on that car. Sadly, though, mods mostly don't add value to your car. Unless you can find a buyer who mods. I hope you get a good price, though.

What are you moving on to? Why? New project?

It's worth whatever someones willing to pay for it. Modifiying it seriously decreases the market value, but not with the very small target audience.

For what it's worth, I'm in Portland, and I spent quite some time looking for a 6gc with a clean title before I found mine (right by you in Dallas, actually!). All the ones I looked at were stock, mind you, and many of them were just completely thrashed. I paid 3500 for mine, w/217k on the odometer and 85k on the engine (w/receipts to match). I feel like I paid a little more than I should have, but our cars tend to go for a lot of money and while I think I paid more than I should've, I still think I did the best I could with the money I had so I have no regrets.

I know you said not to bother posting if it was less than 6k, but I honestly think 6k is the MAXIMUM you can expect here, at least in a PNW market. If your car were all stock, you could probably get close to even 7k for it, but it's not, and frankly, unless you sell to someone who you'll be shipping your car to, around here, there just isn't a strong market for modified Celicas. Look at all the F250s and Suburbans people drive around here, especially down by you... and all the Hondas in Salem. We just don't have the market for it here, man. Sorry.

Not trying to knock on your decision, but unless someone has the same taste as you, you won't be getting what you want out of the car. The car is too personalized imo. The black and white theme is actually killing you.

i think you should keep it, and if you dont need to sell it in a hurry, im sure you can find someone who will give you 6-7k for it

but if your selling it because you need money... i think your making a mistake. if your selling it because you have to, then im sorry for your misfortune

that being said, as a general 'my car is for sale' pitch i wouldnt expet too much more than 4k

is converting back to oem possible? cuz if it doesnt cost too much, you can probably part your mods and at the end u'll get more for it then if you sold it as is right now.

I was thinking between 4-5 depending on who buys it. You might get more if mommy and daddy buy their kid a sports car, but thats a stretch.

I agree with the shaved doors. That is what got me confused about the most.. I would say with a little patience maybe 7K at most. Althought that might come from some Fanboy. I like the whole idea. The hidden gascap is awesome.

When I had my 97 ST hatch. I was getting calls when I put it out for 5.5K This was a stock + GTS wheels ST, with 127K miles. A small dent on the side and decent paint. Too bad I totalled it a week before the buyer had all her money together.

i think you selling this car would be like coomer selling his car. you cannot do it, that car now belongs to the other enthusiasts and you are now the caretaker, i suggest painting it black, putting on a c-one front end and making some serious power......super celica-yes

--------------------
Coming in 2010

full paintjob - new wheels - modified body - new interior - engine build- marriage
