Hey guys, i got a set of speakers for the doors on my 99 GT and a set for the back seat area - how exactly would i go about installing the door speakers? I triied to take the lower door panel off to get to them, but i can't seem to get it apart without having to take the entire door panel off.... there has to be an easier way, right?

nope sadly there is no easier way. and once you do get the door off you have to find a way to mount the speakers because our factory speakers are 8inch.

Hot glue works wonders . Stupid not-quite-fitting adaptors.

for the rears you have to take the seats out - I don't how much of the seat you take out as mine already came with alpine (6.5")

QUOTE(Rusty @ Jan 5, 2008 - 7:48 PM) for the rears you have to take the seats out - I don't how much of the seat you take out as mine already came with alpine (6.5") ....if only we could toss a turbo into our cars I didn't have to take out my rear seats to put rear speakers in. Just pull the plastic trim foward and took the factory grill off too reach through. Then I positioned it and screwed it in through the grill hole. -------------------- - TRD3SG -

i've installed rears both ways. with and without taking out the back seats. i highly recomend taking them out. it is so much easier to get in there and get everything how you want it. its only a few bolts holding your rear seats in. it's worth the extra couple minutes to remove them.

Yea probaly would be easier without out the seats however at the time I did mine I had only just bought my cell and couldn't get the seats out. Still was fairly easy to do without the seats out. Made custom mounts for both front and back aswell to fit Earthquake 6.5"s front and rear.
