I was going through some of my old car files (yes, I keep everything!) and i found an old dyno sheet that i had from when i installed my "stage 1" on my celi. This is way before 6GC so I really wasn't up to par with my car as I am today (well, at least more now). At that time, before I installed the Injen filter my car tested:
Speed: 148km/h @ 6982 rpm Power: 104.1 kW @ 6791 rpm Torque: 163 Nm @ 4691 rpm Is this right? I don't know what 104 Kw is supposed to feel like, or maybe i'm just used to my car, but it doesn't feel like alot. A visiting friend rode with me and he said that my celi felt quick and he guessed at around 97kW. I mean, i know my car is quick on the overtake and the taking off, but i drove a 2007 Golf GTI last week and THAT was quick! What are other 3SGE's throwing out? I can post my dyno sheet tomorrow if anyone thinks I'm reading it wrong. -------------------- "Remember, amateurs built the ark and professionals built the Titanic. In 1994 through 1997 Celicas, the 3S-GE only produced 142 lbs.-ft. of torque@4800 rpm. This post has been edited by Culpable04: Jan 8, 2008 - 3:09 PM -------------------- |

remember that the specs numbers are at crank and I'm assuming your numbers are at the wheels. so they are perfectly normal.

That speed figure is certainly wrong . But yeah, as mentioned crank v. wheels.

where are you takint the power from wheels or flywheel - because the stas take them from the flywheel
mine...114kW @ wheels (7000rpm) 148HP 124kW @ flywheel (my celica produced 132kW stock when in cam out...pretty good;)) maybe we should have a dyno thread for NA celicas (we have one for Turbo, but I felt silly posting my sheet:/) This post has been edited by Rusty: Jan 9, 2008 - 3:25 AM -------------------- |
