First, wheels. I've been looking around for wheels, and I just can't decide on anything! I'm too picky I guess. I've looked up a lot, but certaintly not everything, and I couldn't really find anything, so perhaps you could all help me pick something out? what I'm looking for. well, 5x100 bolt pattern (duh), 17x8, 35 offset, bronze or gold, 5-spoke, 6-spoke, 7-spoke, or 10 spoke, while still being affordable. (within $400-800). I'm considering the 5Zigen FN01R-C's, but they are pretty pricy. is there anything else out there matching all this? those were the only things I could find to match all the categories.

and now tires. The reason I want the 17x8's with the 35 offset is because there is someone on this site running that size and offset with 235/40 tires. says he has no rubbing problems. I want to try and fit 245/40 tires, and I wanted to know if anybody thinks this is possible? I'm sure they'll fit in the rear, we've got a lot of room back there. but the fronts I'm worried about. I can deal with a little bit of rubbing on the plasic in full lock turning, I just want to make sure my fender won't cut into the tires or have it rub on the frame behind the plastic. I saw in an old thread that somebody is running 245/35/18's on this site, but I don't think he comes on here anymore. anyway, it's only 10mm more than a 235, but it's a much more common tire size and thus is cheaper, plus I want all the traction I can get! the 5sfte likes to make 'em spin!

there are rim brands called exel or drag or even rota that look like popular wheel designs.

Ooh baby, these wheels are HOT!! If I ever buy wheels again, these are the ones I'll get. I think the 17's only come in 42 offset. kindasad.gif $200 per wheel... a bit pricey.

I have a set of black 17x8 +35 FN01RC with fresh 215/45 rubber for 900 + Shipping.

I work for a tire shop and can get a set of those with tires brand new for around $850 and not need to pay shipping... but thanks for the offer. it's one set of wheels I'm considering, but I would want bronze, and bronze costs more than the black ones for some reason.

right now I'm considering these, rota boost:

or these, rota torque:

I really really REALLY love gram lights, but even at my cost they are still close to $300 per wheel! I was looking for the TE37 knockoff and gram light knockoff by rota, but neither came in the right offset. I'm gonna find out my cost on those rotas above tomorrow, and I'll go from there.

ordered the rota torques today in broze. they were $142 a wheel, but they're gonna take 6-8 weeks to get here. I guess bronze was not a normal color for these wheels, they didn't have that color on their website. they said they could ship black ones tomorrow, but I decided to hold off for the bronze, since I have to save up for a while to be able to afford them anyway. when they get here I'm gonna mount some 245/40/17 tires on them, and see if I can fit them, otherwise I'll go with 235/40 or 225/45.

I think the bronze should look real good with your car colour, I considered going gold or bronze when I got my wheels still wish I did sometimes ( My car is a similar colour)

wink.gif I think I'll be happy with them. car won't stay this color forever hopefully though, I want to paint it a darkish subaru blue. but that's not gonna be for a while. I've gotta fix up all the dents and get the body how I want it first.
