Does anyone know if they make a shift kit for our 5 speeds? I have a Greddy Counter-Weight shift knob (i love it) and now I want a shift kit to better that with. Plus I have noticed that sometimes it feels like there is dirt between the gears (theres not just an expression). Ok put it this way, my clutch and shifter are perfect, but my throws dont seam as crisp as they could be. So like before, Does anyone know if they make a shift kit for our 5 speeds?

What about the TRD quickshifter, I know it reduces your throw by alot, but how clean are the shifts? Any better? Coomer, I know you got 1, help me out.

TRD's short shifter is going to run you over $200, so if you want to go for that, you can. You can get one from your local Toyota dealer. From what I've heard, the shifts are nice.

Ive heard that missing shifts will become a thing of the past and the shorter throw is awesome.

DB

Verde, how much for your low profile 18" tires?

Ummm...I think they were something around $150 a piece. Not sure, though. Not any more than $170. I like them though, they've shown no wear and tear and I've driven over 10K on them so far (I've been rotating of course).

I have the TRD Quickshifter too, and I love it. The shifts are quick and crisp and I never mis-shift either. smile.gif I grind first to second about one out of every ten times I shift, even when I'm driving slow, but that's due to dying synchros. frown.gif

If you look around, you can find deals too sometimes. I got mine off of someone on eBay for $110 or $120 shipped I think.

i got mine for 150 from Burien Toyota, and from ToyotaWorld.com, you can get it for around 180 shipped. both of these kits included the shift knob. wink.gif.
